Age Specific Program

小童軍[1][2][3][4][5]Grasshopper Scouts

Ages 4–7

Pre-school section; games, songs, stories and creative activities build self-discovery and happy companionship. No formal assessment.

  1. 小童軍團員章[1][2]Grasshopper Scout Badge

    Joining badge after four Ring meetings: learn the section song, Promise, Law and Motto, and basic personal safety.

  2. 進步獎章 第1步[1][2]Stage Badge Step 1

    Awarded for participation, no assessment: after 5-6 months of membership (red).

  3. 進步獎章 第2步[1][2]Stage Badge Step 2

    After 11-12 months of participation (brown).

  4. 進步獎章 第3步[1][2]Stage Badge Step 3

    After 16-18 months of participation (blue).

  5. 進步獎章 第4步[1][2]Stage Badge Step 4

    After 22 months of participation (green).

  6. 小草蜢獎章Highest award[1][2]Grasshopper Badge

    Start after four Stage Badges or at age 6; complete two experiences in each of seven core modules; not awarded before age 7.

幼童軍[6][7][8][9][4]Cub Scouts

Ages 6–11

Junior section; seven learning domains run through four progressive badges ("Diverse Exploration and Active Inquiry").

  1. 幼童軍體驗章[6][7]Cub Scout Experience Badge

    First progressive badge for members over 6 with the Membership Badge, within 12-15 months; Grasshopper Badge holders are exempt.

  2. 幼童軍歷奇章[6][7]Cub Scout Adventure Award

    Second progressive badge, after the Experience Badge (or age 7.5+ with its core domains); 15-18 months.

  3. 幼童軍高級歷奇章[6][7]Cub Scout Adventure Crest Award

    Third progressive badge, after the Adventure Award (or age 8+ with earlier core domains); deepening of skills, 15-18 months.

  4. 金紫荊獎章Highest award[6][7]Golden Bauhinia Award

    Highest honour award of the Cub Scout Section; after the Adventure Crest Award (or age 10+); service and leadership, 15-18 months.

童軍[10][11][12]Scouts

Ages 11–15

Scout section using the Patrol System ("Embrace Challenges, Build Teams"); four progressive awards plus proficiency badges.

  1. 童軍探索獎章[10][11][13]Scout Pathfinder Award

    For Scouts aged 11+ with the Membership Badge; basic camping, packing and map-reading skills.

  2. 童軍標準獎章[10][11][13]Scout Standard Award

    After the Pathfinder Award (or age 13+ with its Outdoor Challenge); patrol role at a 2-day camp, pitching tents.

  3. 童軍高級獎章[10][11][13]Scout Advanced Award

    After the Standard Award (or age 14+); higher skills such as helping plan camps and backwoods cooking, plus self-reliance and service.

  4. 總領袖獎章Highest award[10][11][13]Chief Scout's Award

    Highest award of the Scout Section; after the Advanced Award; plan and run a camp and teach patrol members, before the 16th birthday.

深資童軍[14][15]Venture Scouts

Ages 15–20

Self-governing, self-programming units developing "tomorrow's leaders".

  1. 會員章[14]Membership Badge

    First stage helping new members get to know their Unit; awarded by the Venture Scout Leader after consulting the Unit Executive Committee.

  2. 深資童軍肩章[14]Venture Scout Epaulettes

    Gives new members basic experience of Venture activities and scoutcraft.

  3. 深資童軍獎章[14]Venture Scout Award

    Begins after the Epaulettes; awarded on completing four achievement badges: Activity Planning, Community Service, Diverse Skills, Outdoor Exploration.

  4. 榮譽童軍獎章Highest award[14]Dragon Scout Award

    Highest youth award; complete the gold bar of all four achievement areas, approved by HQ and presented at the Scout Rally.

樂行童軍[16][17][18]Rover Scouts

Ages 18–25

Young adult section ("Service-Mindedness and Global Vision"), a platform for prospective leaders; Rovers may be appointed as leaders.

  1. 會員章[16][17]Membership Badge

    Initial stage: know the Movement and the Rover Section, accept the Promise and Law (about 3 months).

  2. 樂行童軍肩章[16][17]Rover Scout Epaulettes

    New Rovers experience activities and learn basic scoutcraft (about 3-6 months).

  3. 樂行童軍獎章[16][17]Rover Scout Award

    Awarded on completing 4 of 7 components (Dedication, Scoutcraft, Volunteerism, Global Vision, Tenacity, Mental and Physical Wellness, Intrepidity).

  4. 貝登堡獎章Highest award[16][17]Baden-Powell Award

    Final stage, awarded on completing all seven components; includes prospective leader training.

Leaders

童軍領袖[19][20][1][16]Scout Leaders

Ages 18+

Leader

Volunteer adult leaders: Leaders in Scout Groups, District or Regional Staff and Commissioners. Adult members also include Lay Members and Professional Scouters.
