Age Specific Program

稚齡童軍[1][2][3]Pre-Cub

Ages 5–8

Pre-Cub section; four progress badges (Earth, Star, Moon, Sun) recognised by the leader, leading on to Cub Scouts.

  1. 地球[3][4]Earth

    From age 5 with parental consent; complete Earth requirements (Promise, Law, salute, etc.) in 3–6 months to be invested.

  2. 星星[3][4]Star

    Within 6 months of the Earth badge; attend at least 4 pack meetings and complete Star requirements.

  3. 月亮[3][4]Moon

    Within 1 year of the Star badge; at least 6 meetings and Moon requirements.

  4. 太陽Highest award[3][4]The Sun

    Within 1 year of the Moon badge; on the Sun badge the child is encouraged to join Cub meetings and start the Antelope stage.

幼童軍[1][2][5][6]Cub Scout

Ages 8–12

Cub Scout section; four animal badges (Antelope, Wolf, Deer, Panthers) awarded after assessment, using the Jungle Book theme.

  1. 羚羊[5][4]Antelope

    From age 8; after at least 4 meetings and assessment of joining requirements, the Cub is invested with the Antelope badge.

  2. 狼[5][4]Wolf

    After 6+ months as Antelope; flag, exercise, general knowledge, hygiene, service, crafts, knots, collecting and reading.

  3. 鹿[5][4]Deer

    After 6+ months as Wolf; flag folding, safety, first aid, service and other Deer requirements.

  4. 豹Highest award[5][4]Panthers

    After 6+ months as Deer; final Cub badge awarded at a public ceremony.

童軍[1][2][7][8][6]Scout

Ages 11–15

Scout section. The six-level progression (Tenderfoot to National Flower) is shared with Senior Scouts; Tenderfoot to Lion are normally earned here.

  1. 初級[8][4]Tenderfoot

    From age 11 (or on moving up from Cubs); after 2+ months of training and the leader's approval, invested with the Tenderfoot badge.

  2. 中級[8][4]Second Class

    4+ months after Tenderfoot; tested by the patrol leader and approved by the leader.

  3. 高級[8][4]First Class

    5+ months after Second Class; confirmed by the county/city council. New Senior Scouts may also earn it after 4+ months.

  4. 獅級[8][4]Lion

    6+ months after First Class; 4+ months in a patrol/troop role, 10+ nights camping, 16+ hours service, 5+ proficiency badges incl. Community Citizen, Travel, Camping.

行義童軍[1][2][8][4]Senior Scout

Ages 14–18

Senior Scout section continuing the shared six-level progression; Great Wall and National Flower are its upper levels.

  1. 長城級[8][4]The Great Wall

    8+ months after Lion; 4+ months as patrol leader etc., help 2 Scouts reach First Class, lead long journeys, 2 community service projects, 11+ proficiency badges.

  2. 國花級Highest award[8][4]National Flower Award

    8+ months after Great Wall; 40 hours service, teach 3+ courses, lead a 3-day patrol camp, run a service project, 18+ proficiency badges; approved by the national association, must be completed before age 19.

羅浮童軍[9][1][2][6]Rover Scout

Ages 17–25

Young-adult section with three levels modelled on chivalry (Squire, Warranted, Service Rover). Rovers may register as Leaders or remain Rovers while helping.

  1. 見習羅浮[9][4]Squire Rover

    Former First Class Scouts aged 17+ after 2 activities; others after 3 activities and basic Scouting knowledge; approved by the crew meeting.

  2. 授銜羅浮[9][4]Warranted Rover

    6+ months as Squire; achievements in eight themes (36 hours community service, outdoor skills and first aid, etc.), a vigil, then investiture.

  3. 服務羅浮Highest award[9][4]Service Rover

    12+ months as Invested Rover; joint activities, 6+ nights camping, a 3-day expedition, 96 hours service learning and one project; awarded by the national association.

Ages 18+

Leader

Adult leaders, including Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters and council officers.
